چکیده

We collected neonatal neurological, clinical, and imaging data to study the neurological manifestations characteristics of neonates with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). This case–control included newborns diagnosed COVID-19 in Wuhan, China from January 2020 July 2020. All had complete evaluations head magnetic resonance imaging. normalized extracted T2-weighted a standard neonate template space, segmented them into gray matter, white cerebrospinal fluid. The comparison matter volume was conducted between two groups. A total five were this study. median reflex scores 2 points lower infected group than control (P = 0.0094), orientation behavior 2.5 0.0008). There also significant differences groups scale score 0.0426). caudate nucleus, parahippocampal gyrus, thalamus strongest correlations Hammersmith neurologic examination (HNNE) score, absolute correlation coefficients volumes each part HNNE all almost greater 0.5. first compared performance without by quantitative neuroimaging methods. Considering limited numbers patients, more studies focusing on structural or functional aspects virus central nervous system different age will be carried out future.
